Q: When you pick up the cube does it automatically just separate into 2 pieces or will it actually stay together when you pick it up?

  A: The items does stay in one piece. To separate it, simply slide it apart .

  A: The cube stays together when you pick it up, but it doesn't take much force to open.
  Made to be a display piece, not to be handled excessively.

Q: Does the top open so we can put candy or flowers inside?

  A: This item separates into two 3 sided pieces. You can see a picture on how it is opened and put back together by clicking on the 2nd photo.
