Q: Would this frame work for a diamond art paint ?

  A: As long as the diamond art is the same thickness as a standard photo you should be fine. The frame is intended for a regular photo thickness.

Q: Would this frame accommodate a 6x6 photo? Does it have a mat or a backing for such a composition?

  A: This frame is made to hold a 12x12 photo so it can work for a 6x6 as well if you center it in the frame.
  
  Format frames are not designed to be used with a traditional mat but it can hold something as thick as a sheet of paper in it if you would like to make your own.
