Q: is the opening for a 6x6 image or is it slightly smaller? I have an image that is exactly 6x6 would this mat cover the edges? Thanks!

  A: The viewable photo area is around 5 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches.

Q: How thick of a photo/art work can I fit in here (how deep does it go?) I have some 1/8" thick photo boards...

  A: After speaking to the manufacturer, they said it should work on this frame but you may have to remove the mat that come with it which is about 1/8 of an inch as well.
