Q: Is the size of the frames the actual size of the outside of the frame, or does it fit a picture of that size (for example, does the 5 x 7 frame provide a border for the 5x7 picture, or would a 5x7 picture cover the entire surface of the frame?

  A: The frames are listed by photo size. The overall dimensions of this item are 6-1/2 inches x 8-5/8 inches. The part of the 5x7 photo that you will see is 4-1/2 inches x 6-1/2 inches.
